March 16, 2003:
I’ve been working on my comic and have created three more characters: Brighid, the Pagan priestess, Kai, the Native American gay guy, and Eve (yes… that’d be my namesake, huh?), the anime-loving webmistress faery. It’s going to be weird at first to write a character with my name, but I’ll get over it, and besides, (GRIN) it fits. Sigh. Actually, some of you reading this will notice that all those names are tied back to me somehow. That is, I’ve written them before or something. Went to a friend’s party last Saturday and I felt weird going because not all of my friends were invited. I’m a fan of inviting all my friends because I’ve been left out before and I don’t like the feeling. And I don’t want anyone else to feel that way, you know? Oiya, well, it was awkward (on my part) for a while and I feel uncomfortable now afterwards. I sort of feel like I betrayed my friends who weren’t invited to it. Argh. But a lot of my friends also went to the thing, so I’m torn. THAT’s not a really great feeling either.

Anyway, I’m updating now (even though I’m still behind in Pre-Calc and it’s killing me softly…) because I don’t know when I’ll have the chance again for the next week. I’m flying to New York with the Chamber Singers from my school (of which I am a part, of course) for a national competition. Oh yea, baby. And I thought of this line for a poem or a piece of prose, but it was really random thinking of it. Sorta don’t know where it came from, but here it is, anyway: Where she goes, so goes my nation. I’m thinking it might be good for my Lady Fey series (none of which are online, but I’ve written a chapter or two of Lady Fey, Queen of Dnaleri, and her consort, Paris, Emperor of Ceres). Sounds to me like something Paris would say. And now, without further ado, I’m going back to Pre-Calc because I reeeeeeally need to get it done before tomorrow because I’m leaving on Tuesday. And by the by, the Day of Silence for my school is the twenty-fifth, so everyone should sign-up ASAP! You hear me? Everyone! MUHAHA!

Ah, yes. The months are flying by, ne? In three months, one week, and one day, it’ll be graduation day. I’m sort of dreading it because it means actually pressing the boundaries of my world and getting used to something new. I’m afraid I won’t have the bravado to pull something like that off and survive; I’m already stressed out enough as it is. Sigh. I started my own private journal so that I can say what I really want to when I really want to because I’ve been restricted online by promises and my own worries. Sorry guys, my once private thoughts that everyone could read are once again truly private. I hope you understand that I want to do myself justice and I don’t feel like I have been in my Random*Thoughts lately.
You’re Kishuu Arashi!
Always calm and composed, you aren’t prone to
dramatic outbursts or displays of emotion.
You save your emotion for times when it is really necessary.
Some might call you cold or distant, but on the upside,
you’re very emotionally strong and can take care of yourself.
And when the right person comes along,
they might just break your shell.

In other, more chipper news, I convinced my dad to buy me Adobe Photoshop Elements 2.0, which is basically Photoshop — “the condensed version”. I wanted it in the first place so that I could create comics, but then I realised I’d actually have to draw something before I could even begin to work with Photoshop. Sigh. I always forget some of the most important parts, don’t I? And I can’t draw for beans. Oiya. So, I created Sita, the broody narrator (so far) and one of the main characters, and Gabrielle, the mentally insane “human twinkle”. I don’t know how far I can take them without knowing how to draw very well, but I can try, right? In the meantime, if you want good online comics, Oh My Gods! by Shivian and Boy Meets Boy by Sandra Delete are excellent if I do say so myself. I also put both of those links on my links page, because I love the comics. Grin. Sweeeet.
