Canada totally ROCKS MY SOCKS!!!

On Tuesday, June 28th, 2005, Canada got much better. With a vote 158-133, the Canadian government made it possible for Canada to join the ranks of those countries that embraces marriage equality.

On a much MUCH more pathetic note, I really really REALLY dislike our current President. I didn’t watch his speech at Fort Bragg today, but I DID read the entire transcript, so this is NOT just a baseless rant… (If YOU want to read the transcript, go here: http://www.cnn.com/2005/POLITICS/06/28/bush.transcript/index.html )

I just have to say to you, Mr. Bush: I do NOT know how you got elected, but I pity you for standing up in front of America and making a fool of yourself AGAIN. I certainly didn’t vote for you, and I don’t believe ANYONE should’ve voted for you. In either election. I knew your were a bad choice for President the moment I discovered you were even running in the first place. Honestly, man, do you just HAVE to prove this over and over again? And don’t think I’m a Republican-hater or something stupid like that; I’m not. In fact, I liked your father as President and I even went steady with a Republican-oriented young man for almost a year. I can put up with a lot of bull shit. AND, a lot of my friends think you’re doing the right thing. Well, let me tell you something. YOU’RE NOT. Iraq is it’s own country. Stop acting like it’s one of our territories. Nobody in Iraq likes you, okay? And they don’t want American troops on Iraqi soil ANY MORE. Go back to your baseball and Texas ranch and leave the governing of the country to the SMART PEOPLE and everyone will be all the better for it. Trust me on this one. Remember when your mother said you could do anything you wanted and BE anything you wanted when you grew up? Well, SHE LIED. I’m sure you’re a nice guy. I might even be friends with you if we met on the street someday. But honest-to-God, YOU ARE A TERRIBLE PRESIDENT.

More Steven Drama

And, of course, there’s more than enough drama to go around.

Daylin and Steven are having ISSUES… She went back to NYC and they sort of broke up but not really, and then they did, but with the intention to get back together, and then they DIDN’T, and then they did again. All through this, I’m like, “Just fucking make up your MIND, Steven!!!” (Day’s not the one with the problems here; it’s Steven, as usual).

I’m sitting at my computer last night trying to be the go-between (BIG mistake on my part) and of course it’s NOT going well. I ended up talking to Day on the phone for like 2 hours and then STEVEN on the phone for like 2 MORE hours. I didn’t even get to sleep ’til 5:30 AM. If I wasn’t nearly IN LOVE WITH Daylin, I’d be like, “well, fuck this”. Damn it. Damn my emotions. NOTE: She DID say we could date someday, though, which made me really happy. I’m not going to get my hopes up, cause she’s straight and honestly, I don’t think she even THINKS about thinking about me “that way”.
