Okay, so I’ve been trying to reformat my computer ALL day. No luck. Apparently the restore discs suck lots of @$$. And so does eMachines, the company that sold me my compy mid-Senior year and is now part of Gateway. Damn it. That means all the tech support I’ll get from Gateway is something along the lines of the following.
Me: “Hey, I can’t reformat my compy. Help me.”
Them: “Have you tried–”
Me: “Yes, I’ve tried EVERYTHING. I’m not a moron like the people this stupid thing was made for.”
Them: “Well, what kind of computer do you have?”
Me: “Well… it’s embarassing.”
Them: (sigh)
Me: “It’s an eMachines, okay?”
Them: “You actually BOUGHT one of those things? God, what were you thinking?”
Me: “I know, but it was cheap.”
Them: “Uh huh, that’s what they ALL say. Don’t you know that you get what you pay for?”
Me: “Well, NOW I do. Can you help me?”
Them: “No. Why on earth would you BUY eMachines crap in the first place?”
Me: “That’s just shitastic.” (click)
And so, I may not have a compy to update/be online with for a while. You’ll have to call my cell. But don’t do that cause I don’t like the phone. Thank you.
