Thoughts on touch

Question: You dislike to be touched. So I’m disinclined to place my hand on your shoulder or give you a spontaneous hug or kiss?

My Answer: I wouldn’t stop you, but I’m not particularly fond of such affection. Unless I’m in love with you; then, I can’t touch you enough. I like the feel of skin and muscles and bones underneath. I like feeling skin, but not the skin of just anybody. I don’t mind handshakes and hugs too much, and I can become acclimated to such touch if you’re a touchy-feely person… but I don’t really like it. If I’m being intimate, per se, with someone I don’t love or deeply care for, it becomes very professional and mercenary for me. Not to say I won’t sleep with you, but it’s not going to mean anything to me. Or at least, it’ll mean a lot less than one would expect. In a few words: I love touch, but I’m selective about who I love touching and who I don’t mind touching me.

Also, I HATE it when people touch my hair or get too close to my face.

I had a wonderful yesterday with Katie, Dave, and Rachel and a wonderful evening last with Katie, Dave, and DC. Katie came and picked me up a bit after noon and, after picking up Rachel from her place, we went and had a lovely lunch of tomato basil soup (certainly not as good as the kind I make), bread and cheese at Katie’s house. Then we went bowling down in Pasadena and Dave met us there. Rachel won the first game and Katie won the second. I totally lost both times (I TOLD you all I suck at bowling! *smile*) but I got 15 points higher the second round, so that was awesome! We went to dinner at this awesome (cheap!) Japanese sushi place near the bowling alley and I had drool-worthy cucumber rolls and vegetable rolls. Oh, sooo good. I heart sushi! Afterwards we had Baskin Robins ice cream (I had ‘Reese’s peanut butter cup chunks’ flavour and enjoyed every bite of it) and then took Rachel home cause her mother’s paranoid about her being away from home too long or something. I have a hunch it’s empty-nest syndrome.

Katie, Dave, and I hung out at my house for a while until DC showed up and then there was much talk of Sin City, various comics, and other nerdy things on Dave’s/DC’s part and Katie and I just kind of listened and talked between ourselves. I heart cool friends! DC went home a little after midnight and Dave, Katie, and I enjoyed more (deeper) conversation and each other’s company. Dave left in the early morning and Katie stayed the night. I’m very happy to have her as a friend and am really glad we were able to have a decent conversation this morning after we both woke up.

(Thank you, Katie, for driving me everywhere!)
(Dave, I heart you! Don’t worry about last night; it happens to all of us at one time or another. *smile* Trust me, that kind of thing has certainly happened to me.)

PS: DC’s “Sweet pea gentle glycerin soap” takes the cake for best quotation of the evening.

Six Flags Magic Mountain

I went to Magic Mountain today with my whole family! It was great fun, but now my feet and legs are KILLING me. I really need to walk the dog more or do SOMETHING to get more in shape. The lines weren’t too bad, for it being a summer day and all, but were worse than when my dad and I go in December every year. The rides (in the order that they were ridden):

Viper, Roaring Rapids, Psyclone, Deja Vu, Dive Devil, Splashdown (aka: Jetstream), Spin Out, Gold Rusher, Riddler’s Revenge, Tidal Wave, Sand Blasters, Batman, Grinder Gearworks, Circus Wheel (aka: Jolly Roger), Colossus, Goliath, Bucaneer, and Revolution.

Superman and Ninja weren’t open today, and we skipped Scream and X because the lines were WAY too long and Flashback because that one is just a sucky ride. We had lunch at Katy’s Kettle and walked around a LOT in between rides and then came home and ate cold pizza for dinner. All in all, we were there a total of 12 hours.

I am SO tired.

I just realised I have a lot of interests.

Dead Man’s Chest spoilers!

Glee! Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest pictures! Please, please, PLEASE don’t pass these pictures around — apparently Disney’s having a shit fit because some PotC2 stuff was leaked (obviously), and I do NOT want to get shut down and sued or something. Also, DO NOT HOTLINK TO THESE. If you want them, fine, just upload them to your own server. FYI, there are spoilers ahead. You have been warned.

All I have to say is: WHERE’S JACK?!? I’m Jack deprived!! Waah!
Oh, here he is. THAT’s more like it. Sheesh.
And some behind the scenes stuff.
Can you say, “here’s more!“?
