ARGH! Crickets!

Somehow–even though I live on the second floor, effectively, of my building–a cricket got into my room. I don’t know how; my window was barely open. It must’ve been while I was out or I definitely would have noticed it.

ANYway, this wouldn’t be a bad thing except it keeps chirping! Earlier this evening, I shut the window because I thought it was coming from outside, but the chirping didn’t stop! Stupid little animal is sitting behind my refrigerator chirping and chirping and CHIRPING.

Honest to God: I love animals. I do. I’m a friggin’ vegetarian, for God’s sake. But if this cricket doesn’t cut it out, I’m going to either bash my eardrums in or turn my room over to find the damn thing and KILL IT. I just want to sleeeeep. Is that really too much to ask? I mean, it IS my room, after all.

*chirpchirp* Stay calm. Just breathe. *chirp chirpchirp chirp*

AGGH! Must…resist the… urge… to KILL.

Tauren Hunter
f-tauren.jpghunter.jpgTauren, the not-very-gentle giants of the Horde, stand out above the rest. Pastoral at heart, they may feel the need to defend their fields – or their honour, if someone were to insult their fuzzy, glossy coat.

As a hunter, you prefer to be on the sidelines. You would rather see all angles of a situation – probably to find the best position to shoot from. You like animals, but mostly because they (might) do your bidding.

Blood Drive

I’m going to try my hand at giving blood again. Every time I’ve tried since the first time when I only gave blood to get out of a Pre-Calc test in high school that I had to take later anyway, I’ve been denied because of anemia. Anemia in my case equals a lack of iron in my bloodstream because I don’t eat meat. BUT, there are a couple of things that make me want to try giving again.

1. The last time I tried to give blood was late October 2004.
2. I’ve been taking vitamins with iron since then.
3. I have to at least TRY, even if the likelihood of being turned away is high.

SO, I’m signing up today or tomorrow in the Atrium for the F&M Blood Drive next Tuesday, 6 December 2005. We shall see how it goes.
