Blood Drive

I’m going to try my hand at giving blood again. Every time I’ve tried since the first time when I only gave blood to get out of a Pre-Calc test in high school that I had to take later anyway, I’ve been denied because of anemia. Anemia in my case equals a lack of iron in my bloodstream because I don’t eat meat. BUT, there are a couple of things that make me want to try giving again.

1. The last time I tried to give blood was late October 2004.
2. I’ve been taking vitamins with iron since then.
3. I have to at least TRY, even if the likelihood of being turned away is high.

SO, I’m signing up today or tomorrow in the Atrium for the F&M Blood Drive next Tuesday, 6 December 2005. We shall see how it goes.
