ARGH! Crickets!

Somehow–even though I live on the second floor, effectively, of my building–a cricket got into my room. I don’t know how; my window was barely open. It must’ve been while I was out or I definitely would have noticed it.
ANYway, this wouldn’t be a bad thing except it keeps chirping! Earlier this evening, I shut the window because I thought it was coming from outside, but the chirping didn’t stop! Stupid little animal is sitting behind my refrigerator chirping and chirping and CHIRPING.
Honest to God: I love animals. I do. I’m a friggin’ vegetarian, for God’s sake. But if this cricket doesn’t cut it out, I’m going to either bash my eardrums in or turn my room over to find the damn thing and KILL IT. I just want to sleeeeep. Is that really too much to ask? I mean, it IS my room, after all.
*chirpchirp* Stay calm. Just breathe. *chirp chirpchirp chirp*
AGGH! Must…resist the… urge… to KILL.
At least you don’t have a mouse running around eating your socks.
