Football

It’s interesting to see people get all passionate and uptight about American football. If someone threw a football at me and told me to run through a bunch of huge guys in shoulder pads and helmets whose only goal was to stop me from running through them, I’d say, “Well, fuck that. The damn ball isn’t even ROUND.”
Football seems to do to people what alcohol does to people: make them stupid and more likely to do something they wouldn’t ordinarily do. And it’s not officially regulated to patrons over 21 by the state. Which makes it quite possibly more dangerous.
Yuck. The whole thing just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Give me books, pens, and lined paper over football any day.
Good thing I’m an English major, I suppose.
