- Independence Day (observed) = free fireworks!
- Got my Magic Bullet blender in the mail yesterday. I paid only $29.99 (+ s/h)!
- A dirty clothes basket. I realised while at Bennett’s that it’s nice to have a separate space to put dirty clothes.
- Actually WINNING an argument for once (and about abortion, no less).
- Hanging file folders, which make everything easier to organize.

- Our REAL Independence Day. July 4 is actually just Independence Day observed.
- Playing catch with Bennett and his father and brother…
- … none of whom laughed at my pathetic catching and throwing…
- … and even encouraged me when I did well. I was really worried about making a fool of myself.
- Spaghetti for lunch, ravioli for dinner! How much better can it get?

- Almost left my train ticket at Bennett’s house, but went back for it before it was too late.
- Even though it was a tight schedule, I did NOT miss my train back.
- Once back at school, decided to get some exercise (and save money!) by walking to the apartment.
- Even with my long walk from the station, I did NOT miss (the re-re-repeat of) Solitary. Four players left!
- Already half done with the homework of the first half of the first week of my second summer class.
