Christians don’t kill Christians

In an article found here, I noticed that someone (apparently a neighbor of the pastor and his wife, who is accused of killing him) was quoted as saying, “What would cause a godly woman to do such a thing? Christians don’t shoot Christians.”
I’d like to point out that this neighbor said, “Christians don’t shoot Christians” (emphasis mine), not “Christians don’t shoot people.” Is that supposed to mean that they DO shoot other people who are NOT Christians?
Certainly a Freudian slip if I’ve ever seen one.
Apparently, the up-and-coming paster criticized his wife so much, that she snapped and killed him, although she doesn’t remember “going to the closet and getting the gun” or shooting her husband and says she apologized to him just before he died.
