Unsigned artists for YOUR auditory pleasure!

At Unsigned.com, you can sign up your unsigned (and/or independent) band/music group/whatever or–if you’re more the listening type–search for raw, new talent in the comfort of your own home! It’s nice because they have a search feature that lets you look at only the kind of music you like–be it rock & roll, reggae bands, or rap(pers) (and everything else you can think of)–and they allow bands/artists to classify their music as more than one type so that their group gets the most publicity possible. I’m not sure if that last sentence made any sense, but if you like music, you’ll like this site… so go there and check it out for yourself!!
An addition
by V.E. on February 24th, 2007
In adding to the depth of this blog/site, I will be periodically writing short posts about one of my 5 reasons. That means that I’ll post my 5 reasons for the day, then, in a following post on the same day, will explain one of my reasons for that day more fully. I think this way it adds a little bit more humanity to the entries and lets you know what I’m thinking when I say that one of my reasons is “working toilets” or what have you. So, just be on the look-out for “behind-the-reasons” posts in the near future. Thanks for reading!
Who wants to date a millionaire?

You only make $500,000 per year? Puh-lease, that is so last century. Millionaire Dating is apparently the new thing in online dating/courting/whatever. Needless to say (I hope), I’m extremely skeptical. Are millionaires just popping up out of no where and I just don’t see them? I mean, I suppose that being a millionaire today isn’t the same thing as when Rockefeller was one, but really, this website seems ridiculous. I feel like anyone signed up for that is looking for money, not someone with money looking for “love”… since heaven knows money doesn’t buy that. How are you, Mr. or Ms. Millionaire, going to be able to tell that the person you find on DateAMillionaire.com isn’t the gold-digger you pray they aren’t?? It’s one thing to have a situation where she (or he) doesn’t already know you have money coming out of your ears, but the very website is called “Date a Millionaire” for a reason. Don’t let your money get in the way of something real. Seriously. Everyone deserves a chance at love, but I honestly don’t think this is going to be it for anyone. It reeks of Future Disappointment… if nothing else.
Day Two hundred fifty

- TorrentReactor has everything. You name it, they have it.
- Dinner with one of the Board of Trustees, his wife, and one of the architects of the Ware House Commons. Good food, too.
- Margaret licked… my ear… at Bennett’s request. It was a surprise. He was smug about it ’cause he knows me. -_-
- Feeling much better after giving up something for Lent and then watching The Secret.
- Payday today… not as much $$ as I’m used to… but it IS still payday, and that’s good.

- Google’s key counter gadget.
- Knowing my current latitude (40.03°) and longitude (-76.34°).
- The guy who essentially discovered longitude at sea.
- John Harrison’s masterpiece: the H4 marine timekeeper.
- Dava Sobel’s freakin’ awesome book, The Illustrated Longitude.
Seriously, if you haven’t read that book (#5), then you really should. It’s worth it, if even just for the amazing pictures. Plus, it’s an entertaining read and explains how important longitude really is. Which is a lot.

I believe I’ve written about CouponChief.com before, but you can never have too much of a good thing, right? Especially when it’s free! I love all kinds of internet things, but when it comes to buying textbooks, cheaper is better! When I stumbled upon CouponChief’s eCampus coupons, I was thrilled. You, too, can see the wonders of cheap(er) stuff over at CouponChief!
Rough time of it

I’ve been having a seriously rough time recently, and it’s primarily my fault. I’m afraid that I may be subconsciously sabotaging myself in classes this semester so that I don’t have to graduate in May. I’ll keep updating as time permits, but I’m pretty worn down (in general) at this point.
