Day Two hundred seventy

  1. Free shipping on eBay, even though I haven’t actually bought anything recently. Free shipping is always nice.
  2. Right about 1:20 I just died of cuteness. I am SO like all those women you can hear in the video.
  3. This music video makes me want to learn to belly dance. Or at least watch some Bollywood.tv.
  4. When I can discern enough of the lyrics of a good song to find them on Google and learn the song’s name and artist.
  5. O, that I have ears to hear and fingers to type. [GAH!]

Time to send in your computer for a tune up?

[In case you're wondering, this is a paid post.]

If it’s high time your computer got a tune up, check out this package of everything you’ll ever need to get it done more easily than ever. I don’t know what the “jv16″ in “jv16 PowerTools” means (and, trust me, I scoured the site to no avail), but in any case, this package (free to download and 20% off the normal $29.95 if you buy). Included is 22 “keep my computer clean and fast” products and is supported in multiple languages.

Macecraft Software also offers a registry cleaner, for those of you interested in keeping your computer in top shape 24/7.

Day Two hundred sixty-nine

Posted in 5reasons on March 29th, 2007 by V.E.
  1. Less than two months of school left, hopefully. *crosses fingers*
  2. I slept a looong time last night… even though I didn’t mean to.
  3. “Take Back the Night” is tonight, wherein women take back the night from rapists.
  4. Class with Gerald Stern this afternoon… a very interesting and funny man.
  5. When you feel as shitty as I do right now, things can only get better.

Pass this along to your engaged friends

Not like I need wedding favors or know anyone who needs them, but it’s fun to daydream once in a while, you know? Shop For Weddings, the self-described “Internet Wedding Superstore,” is one of the best places online to find cheap, personalized wedding favors. They have yummy-looking mini-chocolates and sale items–like picture frames, candle holders, matchbooks, and more–every day. Not just for favors, however, Shop For Weddings also sells reception items, bridesmaid and groomsman gifts, planning supplies, jewelry, and even apparel. There are also quite a few cake topper choices, including one titled “Now I Have You Figurine” and one called “Oh No You Don’t Figurine”… along with more traditional renditions of the statuettes. Most items are personalize-able and, if you sign up for their “weekly steal” (see the main page), you’ll get a 10% off coupon good for a future purchase.

Who doesn’t like sun catchers?

[In case you're wondering, this is a paid post.]

Sun Catchers are always a lovely addition to the outdoors of any home. I like them along with wind chimes and dream catchers. My favorites include the rose (a’la Beauty & the Beast), the peacock, and Tiffany’s cats (shown here). As a sucker for antique-esque things, I also like the grandfather clocks, and as lover of Japanese traditions, the bamboo fountains. Finally, this room divider helps provide a sense of privacy to an efficiency apartment or guest house and, if nothing else, is a beautiful wall decoration.
