Silver–like gold, but sweeter

I’m sure you all know by know that I like silver more than gold. I have mostly silver jewelry, and when I don’t have a choice in the matter (like with class rings, etc.), I always choose to make the jewelry white gold. Anyway, if some kind of armageddon is going to happen, like many of my friends say/hope it will, then paper currency is going to go down the drain and out the window. I, for one, do not want to be stuck with useless twenty dollar bills when people won’t accept anything but silver or gold. Therefore…

I’m considering getting a couple silver bullion (example shown in this post, although it’s also available in coin form) through Monex Deposit Company (MDC). At MDC, I can “purchase silver or other precious metals [gold, platinum, and palladium] for immediate personal delivery or arrange for convenient and safe storage at an independent bank or depository.” MDC is a name I can trust since they’ve been America’s leader in precious metals investments for over 30 years.

Indeed, MDC states, “There may never be a better time for buying silver bullion than right now. World demand for silver now exceeds annual production, and has every year since 1990. Above ground stockpiles of silver bullion are low, shrinking rapidly and approaching zero.” No more silver? Nooooo.

One Account Mortgages

[In case you're wondering, this is a paid post.]

If you’re seriously considering my last post, then you should probably consider this one, too… unless you’re independently wealthy and can just drop millions on a new house whenever you feel like it. Okay, so usually the deal is this: you get a mortgage that sits there piling up interest while you sloooowly pay down the balance. The One Account, in contrast, “combines [the mortgage] debt into your normal current [checking] account and your monthly salary (while it is in your account) is offset against your mortgage balance.” Plus, you can add savings accounts count against the amount of debt on which you pay interest. AND, “you can repay extra money on your mortgage any time you want without penalty or take a break from mortgage repayments if finances get a little tight.”

So, all in all, this seems like a decent idea to me, but I’d be careful (at least until you know you can trust ‘em), since it IS your money you’re dealing with in this case, not just an ice cream cone or some other random, expendable thing.

How about Living in Orlando?

Orlando, Florida’s history is rich and diverse (although you may not have heard much about it with all the hyped up theme parks located there). Although just over 150 years old, the city has seen cattle raising (can you imagine that now?), not to mention cattle rustling, “Indian wars,” gun fights, gambling, and more. With the South Florida Railroad and the rapidly-expanding citrus industry (think “Florida Orange Juice”), Orlando grabbed a hold of the growing tourism in the 1920s and didn’t let go.

If you’re looking for any kind of Orlando Luxury Real Estate so that you, too, can reap the benefits of a rich history and exciting present day, Buyers Broker may be for you. As an “Exclusive Buyer Agency Office, Buyers Broker of Florida only and always represents the best interest of the home-buyer, never the seller. As full time Buyer Agents they understand contracts, house values, options, negotiations, 1031′s, creative thinking, and will do their absolute best to negotiate the most favorable terms only for you, the buyer.” For example, according to 2000 statistics, the city has more visitors each year than the entire population of California (which is the most densely populated state in the Union). Get in on the goodness while there’s still some left!

A PRESS RELEASE for the most popular smartphones follows.

Online cell phone leader breaks down smartphone market trend.

Washington, DC (PRWEB) March 8, 2007 — Wirefly, an online leader in one-stop comparison shopping for cell phones and wireless phone plans, today released an analysis of the recent sharp growth in smartphone sales and announced which smartphones are in the highest demand at the beginning of 2007.

The sales of smartphones–phones with advanced, multi-functional operating systems–grew 70% from the third quarter of 2006 to the first quarter of 2007. This sharp increase in popularity in less than six months is attributed to two main factors:

1 – The public’s awareness of smartphones generated by frequent national advertising programs;
2 – Increased choice for smartphones that are thinner, more stylish and have more compelling features such as music players.

“Smartphones are no longer just high-tech toys for IT specialists or mobile offices for business executives.” “The general public is now starting to embrace QWERTY keyboard smartphones as versatile cellphones for everyday use. Also, a wider audience is attracted by the availability of slimmer, more pocket-friendly smartphones packed with fun and useful applications,” said Wirefly president Brian Westrick.

“This may also be why the smartphone mix purchased by the public is changing. As the smartphone customer base gets wider and less technical, larger and more complex products like Pocket PCs and Treos are yielding ground to slimmer and sexier smartphones like the Samsung BlackJack, Motorola Q and the BlackBerry Pearl.”

Today’s Most Popular Smartphone Models:

The best-selling smartphones on Wirefly.com announced at the beginning of 2007 are a representation of the market trend that is widening the smartphone customer base.

1. Cingular BlackJack
2. BlackBerry Pearl (for Cingular and T-Mobile)
3. 8700 series (for Cingular, T-Mobile, Sprint and Verizon)

4. Cingular BlackBerry 8800
5. Motorola Q for Verizon Wireless

The Cingular BlackJack by Samsung tops the list as Wirefly’s best-selling smartphone. The BlackJack is 1/2″ thick, and at 3.5 oz it is lighter than most small flip cellphones. The Cingular BlackJack was designed to blend traditional smartphone applications–such as QWERTY keyboard, large color screen,Bluetooth technology and full-featured email with attachment capability–with popular downtime features like digital camera, MP3Player and access to Cingular Video and Music.

Available for Cingular Wireless and T-Mobile, the BlackBerry Pearl is BlackBerry’s thinnest and smallest cell phone, measuring 0.6″ in thickness and weighing 3.2 oz. This BlackBerry sports the contoured chromed edges and large color display that appeals to today’s style-conscious cell phone shopper. It has been a cross-over success at bringing traditional cell phone shoppers into the age of mobile messaging with the renown BlackBerry email software. The Pearl features a space-saving SureType QWERTY keyboard, Bluetooth wireless technology and Web browsing. Also, the Pearl offers a 1.3 Megapixel camera,voice-activated dialing and supports Cingular push-to-talk walkie-talkie services.

The BlackBerry 8700 series, which is available on Wirefly.com for Cingular Wireless, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, Sprint and Alltel, isalso winning customers to BlackBerry. As the flagship device within the BlackBerry line, it features a full-size QWERTY keyboard, large color screen and the side thumb wheel familiar to BlackBerry users.
