I was just informed via email that I have a sponsor! So I really have to keep things going here and I’m already almost an entire half hour behind! (I will be tagging this post “sex” and “sex work” at the end of the month so that people will have a chance to read it before then since those two tags are protected on this journal.)
I’m blogging for The Sex Workers Project (SWP), which “provides legal services and legal training, and engages in documentation and policy advocacy, for sex workers. Using a harm reduction and human rights model, [they] protect the rights and safety of sex workers who by choice, circumstance, or coercion remain in the industry.”
International Sex Workers Rights Day is March 3rd every year, and I can’t seem to get my head on straight enough to blog about it on the day since it came into being in 2001.
Likewise, International Day to End Violence Against Sex Workers is December 17th each year. I can never remember the days for these things, but I want to support something that’s close to my heart, so I’m choosing today to do it.
