AX 2011: the Video Rooms

In past years I’ve spent most of my time in the Exhibit Hall and, while I realize there’s merit in that, too, this year I wanted to soak up as much as I could of the anime atmosphere that wasn’t so focused on selling me things I don’t really need. So, I spent a lot of my time in the video rooms, and on Monday (the last day), I spent an entire six and a half hours in the manga library. I asked the librarians if I could just get a picture of the general area to show my readers what it was like, but they politely declined. I don’t know if that’s because I wasn’t officially a member of the press (I paid for my badge, just like every other fan) or if they truly disallowed photographs of the area (and contents, obviously), no matter what.
So this post is going to list the anime I watched and manga I read over the four days, including links if you’re interested. Some of the times, I didn’t get to the theater quickly enough to see the beginning of an episode, and sometimes I missed entire episodes doing something else. I’ve noted these as best as I was able to find out at the time. Any thoughts I have about the series you can find over at Otaku Project.
