NaNoWriMo is upon us!

… and I’ll be hosting some Saturday write-ins this year! Come meet me and other writers on this ridiculous adventure: writing a novel in a month! Info about my write-ins below. Also, visit NaNoWriMo official site and/or my profile page.

[Pasadena] Youth Room Writing! But not just for youth!
Location: Youth Room across the street from Pasadena Covenant Church in Pasadena (church address is: 539 N Lake Ave, Pasadena, CA 91101)
Date(s): 5 Saturdays (11/2, 11/9, 11/16, 11/23, 11/30)
Time: 9:30 AM – 12:30 PM

Details/Info: A large room donated to NaNoWriMo for the five Saturdays in November by Pasadena Covenant Church, at the corner of North Lake Ave. and Santa Barbara St. There are sofas/couches and tall tables with high chairs. I will also have a longer table set up for those people who don’t want to feel like they’re sinking to the bottom of the sea or in a crow’s nest the entire time. (Bring a cushion or pillow if you want a personalized comfy seat!) I’ll have power strips set out (please bring a power strip and/or an extension cord if you have them), but there is NO INTERNET ACCESS. That means more time for writing and less distractions!

I should have signs out pointing the way to the room, which is north of the church across Santa Barbara St. BEHIND the house on the northern corner, and there is parking west of the church in the church lot on Santa Barbara St. (The lot is gated, but it’s free and I have the code to get in, so let me know after you arrive if you need access.) The room we’ll be using has a microwave, a stove and oven, and a refrigerator. I’ll be providing Starbucks Thanksgiving Blend coffee (ground fresh!) and tea, but please BRING YOUR OWN MUG. My mom (bless her heart) will be in the vicinity, and she mentioned she may even bake us some muffins or coffeecake WHILE we’re writing!

So, what to bring: yourself, your writing (!), your own mug for coffee or tea, a cushion (if desired), and a power strip/extension cord (optional). I’m looking forward to seeing you bright and early on Saturday morning!
