Epiphany: a sudden, intuitive perception of or insight into the reality or essential meaning of something, usually initiated by some simple or commonplace occurrence or experience. I’ve had a few. You can even read about some of them here on this site.
What do you need to know about me that you don’t already know or can’t figure out from my menagerie of posts?
I am in my thirties and a panromantic grey-a woman with a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing. I have a cat, Cleo; a younger sister, Bunny; and a younger brother, Johnny. I like spaghetti with marinara sauce, green tea Pocky, root beer, ice water, homemade apple pie, dill pickles, Kellogg’s® Raisin Bran, Post® Honey Bunches of Oats, In-N-Out grilled cheese with crispy french fries, spreadable sharp cheddar cheese, Ritz® crackers, and pretty much anything my genius-in-the-kitchen mom makes.
My interests include LGBT/women’s/human rights activism, winterguard and colorguard, Japanese popular culture and anime, skeptically studying Christianity, Pagan and Earth religions, sex work and sexuality, psychology and sociology with a focus in gender relations, poetry, creative nonfiction, etymology, volunteering, and American history. I would like to spend my career writing and helping people on the edges of society (specifically: children, the elderly, and the mentally ill). I support the following organizations: the American Red Cross in Greater New York, RAINN, GSA Network, Human Rights Campaign.
To hire me as an editor or reviewer, please check out my Editing and Reviews page for more information and my rates.
For personal inquiries, contact me here: iwasborninjune[at]gmail[dot]com, or just leave a comment on one of my entries. I wholeheartedly encourage conversation and dialogue and would love to hear other points of view (as long as we’re all civil about it). Also, it’s nice to know I’m not just blathering to myself out here on the internets. ^_^
